Hello, I've been following this newsgroup for a while, and the subject of corrupted msf files comes up quite often. Wouldn't it be nice if Mozilla itself would notice that the index is corrupted and rebuild it? I'm just jumping in without knowing anything about the organization of the msf files, but if they tell, for example, that a message begins from position x and ends at y, it wouldn't be feasible to check that they don't overlap or so? If it's not easy, how about making rebuilding index a menu choice and point that out at some troubleshooting guide or something? A beginner might not like the idea of deleting few specific files, but if it was a menu choice, it would be much easier for him. There seems to be something about this in bug http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=81141 How about detecting a crash and suggesting rebuild when restarted? just my little thoughts... Ere
