This remains one of the ever-shrinking number of missing features that
keep me from using Mozilla as my main Usenet reader. There is a bug on
this (bug 56419), but it hasn't moved much in about four months, despite
having 13 votes and 6 duplicates. Here's the problem:

When performing a search on a newsgroup, I double-click on one of the
returned messages in the Search window, and this opens it in its own
separate window. Communicator 4.x has a button (the Goto Folder button)
in that new window, which will show that message in the three-pane
Thread view; Mozilla lacks this feature. When I search for messages, I
usually want to read the whole resulting thread in the normal fashion,
and without the button, I have to find the message in the Thread view
manually, which is next to impossible in a high-traffic group.

I can't imagine that I am the only one who finds this to be a major
problem. Is anything happening with this? Am I going to have to learn to
write code just so I can fix it myself?
