Actually it doesn't search the C drive it searches for the default profile directory which happens to be where the OS is installed in Windows it is usually in drive C. Before doing anything else backup your profile. - use mozilla -profilemanager (you would see a default profile, you can delete it or leave it alone) - now create a new profile point it to whatever directory you want to (it will then create a new directory with an .slt extension under the directory you specified, you now have a new profile) - copy your old profile into the new profile(the most important would have to be Mail and News directories, abook.mab, bookmarks.html and if you want prefs.js) - then modify a few directory settings particularly in the Mail and News to point to the correct directories I hope that helps. =) -- Roderick Lazaro :)
