I've heard back from the school regarding what they use for the IMAP/SSL
server.

UMail uses the Cyrus IMAP server (from CMU). The SSL encryption is handled
by stunnel (built from OpenSSL). The server certificate we're running is a
commercial cert from Thawte. It's current and so there shouldn't be any
problems using it. The only funny thing about it is the server name on the
cert is a wildcarded name: mail-*.oit.umass.edu This allows us to use
the same cert on multiple UMail servers.

Can anyone see anything that might be the problem?
Colin
