I know Seth. It supports the two separate models. My proposal (well, Mark's proposal that I'm echoing) is that under a "virtual folder" approach you don't have a real Trash folder at all, but show deleted-but-not-purged messages in the UI as being in a "Trash" folder. It's no big deal--just a neat approach that none of the mail clients currently support, but is a cool thing to mention while you're blue-skying. PS: I just replied to your cc'd email to me not knowing that you'd also posted. When you cc please note "cc'd to poster" or something similar at the top to avoid "stealth cc'ing", which is pretty annoying. Ideally Moz would do this be default when cc'ing and following up to NG to encourage this little courtesy. :-)
