Yes, there have been a few times when I wanted to directly edit the From: address, so that would be a nicety, too, but if the same aliases are used frequently, it's much more convenient to set up (dummy) accounts with those names. At the moment, it's the only means to get multiple identities. It's kludgy, but it works.
