There are essentially two points: First, you refer to some kind of
tradition to justify the interpretation of plaintag tags by Mozilla.
If we follow this argument one may conclude that because we cannot
change history we cannot change the way Mozilla handles some kind
of symbols a message.
Second, you force the set of users who do not want plaintags to
modify some kind of code in the viscera of Mozilla. This is even
worse than many of the standard (office) products we nowadys utilize
at work: We can at least turn off the great many of annoying features
within the application.
