Hi basic.

The actual milestone release (at the time of this writing: 0.9.8) on
linux (forgot to mention that, sorry!), i386.

Ack. Before switching to the nightlies, I will wait for 0.9.9 and try that.

All right, "Local Folder"-content doesn't get deleted at all? Then this
might be a possible (although uncomfortable way: imaginig active threads
which still get replies, one would always have to copy the new messages
to the local archive folder).

Same for me. ;-)

(But since that probably won't be that practical forever, there's some
kind of countdown clock ticking for us... ;-))

But archiving, interesting messages & threads with some kind of
automatic support, should be a needed-feature, shouldn't it?

Or is everybody outside there considering usenet too useless to be worth
archiving? ;-)

Thanks. :-)

Definitely, I'm missing some of that. But I won't surrender that fast.

Sure, I will also dig into it, as soon as time allows.

(Well the one time, I let bugzilla list the complete
mail&news-bug-section to get an impression, it ate up 300Meg of memory
and swap space, before it showed the list. A very looong list, but one
should never lose hope. ;-))
