I'm using Mozilla 0.9.9 (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; WinNT4.0; en-US; rv:0.9.9) Gecko/20020311) as an IMAP client. The IMAP server is running on RedHat Linux, 7.2.
I am unable to create a new IMAP mailbox within an existing folder. When I select the folder, I get an error that the server doesn't support this action (in that the folder cannot, itself, contain messages). Isn't there a better way to handle this - like displaying statistics in the message window, or anything other than getting a pop-up error message? Then, I select File -> New -> Folder (there is no new mailbox, but I think this is what was intended by the command) and get a dialog that asks: - The name of the new folder - Whether the folder should contain messages only or folders only - A drop-down selector to select the parent folder for the new folder The problem is that this selector is incomplete. It shows two top-level entries, "Local Folders" and my IMAP account. If I mouse over the IMAP account, then I get a sub-menu that includes entries for each of the top-level mailboxes (all stippled) and nothing else. There is no way to select any existing folders as the parent for my new mailbox. I created a new mailbox in the top-level, which was allowed, then drug the mailbox in an attempt to move it to the desired parent folder, but this was not allowed. The drag icon remained the "illegal drop site" icon while I was over all the other folders. What am I missing? Please help. Thanks,
