Mail notification -- account rather than name possible?

I use the same handle for umpteen mail accounts, so being told that 
ckjnigel has new mail isn't helpful.  I'm wondering if somewhere in 
those Byzantine preferences .js there's a way to switch to: "New Mail in 
Totalise" (or whatever).  
BTW, is there a TweakMozilla utility project to provide an easier way to 
alter these "hidden" settings?
