Email does NOT access port 80, only port 110 (pop3). You can verify this by sending yourself an html formatted email and observe the reception via a packet sniffer. At no time is port 80 in the picture, only the POP3 or IMAP ports 110 or 143. All of this is going to be a moot point shortly as the feature "View Message Body As ....." --> "Original HTML", "Simple HTML", "Plain Text" will be included hopefully in the next 1.01alpha. The feature has been included in the nightlies for weeks now and works quite well.
