On 03 Aug 2002, it is alleged that Manu Sankala sauntered in to
netscape.public.mozilla.mail-news and loudly proclaimed:

Somebody did find a work-around for this; look in one of the first two
support groups listed below (search for postings by Ron Hunter).

Note that, if you're using Mozilla, you're going to have to set up a news
account for secnews.netscape.com (File | New | Account), then enable SSL
under server settings for the account (which should set the port to 564);
after that, you'll be able to subscribe, tho' you're going to have to
navigate to netscape.mozilla, expand the tree, and then expand the tree for
netscape.mozilla.user to find 'em.

God knows there's probably an RFE (request for enhancement) open on that,
but I don't know what the bug number is.

/b.

Mozilla end-user questions should be directed to:
                snews://secnews.netscape.com:563/netscape.mozilla.user.general
                snews://secnews.netscape.com:563/netscape.mozilla.user.win32
                snews://secnews.netscape.com:563/netscape.mozilla.user.mac
                snews://secnews.netscape.com:563/netscape.mozilla.user.unix

Note that you need to have SSL enabled and the port set to 563.
