I thought we were close to a breakthrough!  Oh, well...

(FYI, if you are an American taxpayer, the "house" belongs to each of us equally, whether you like it or not.  If you are not an American taxpayer, you are the guest here.

[snip] Until then, please leave the sofa and the
chairs as we have them arranged, thank you.
<LOL>  Nicely put, but still we have failed to communicate.  A pity human speech (written or verbal) doesn't have a Connection-Oriented protocol of some sort!

A nickle's worth of free Technical Support:  Go to Edit -> Preferences -> Mail & Newsgroups -> Message Display and put a check in the "Wrap text to fit window width" box, and your chairs will be arranged the way you want them.  While you're there you can pick a different character set if you want ... whatever.  I had thought about teasing you further down this tangent (and, in case your newsreader doesn't show you the Subject, this *is* a tangent), but I'm not trolling -- today.  I really do want to use Moz as a research tool -- the tabbed window facilitates this *soooo* nicely -- but can I?

No, not until the bug is fixed.
I guess I'll have to wait until then.  Or fix it myself.  (Would that really be a "bug" or a "feature not yet implemented"?)

Anyway, I'll still try to help out if I can.  It appears (from digging through these NG's) the "Mozilla Team" can use all the help it can get (no offense meant -- I realize this is a grassroots, unpaid, not-for-profit effort).  And yes, (to put it politely) you have encouraged me to "take the plunge" and start that marathon download of Mozilla's source code.  (Life on the POTS is starting to get depressing.  It'll take long time for me, and (with no DSLAMs in sight) bandwidth is pretty hard to come by "out here".)

Meanwhile, your saucy banter and clever, witty euphemisms lead me to look forward to reading more of your posts!

TTFN,

Jim
