With some help from bienvenu and putterman, I've resurrected the altmail project.
The goal of this project is to be able to build a version of mozilla that works with the default mail/news and addressbook applications, instead of mozilla mail/news. See http://www.mozilla.org/mailnews/altmail/index.html for more details. -Seth
