netscape.public.mozilla.mail-news and loudly proclaimed:

I would assume the following:
1. Create the folder for your IMAP account;
2. Make sure you're subscribed to it;
3. Copy contents of folder from Local Folders to appropriate IMAP folder.
Worked the last time I tried it.
