Spoke too soon. It isn't working. I removed the check for the "local address book" option in the Addressing Prefs and when I use a compose window I get "LDAP connection failed". I was folling myself with the local addr books.
Also, nothing appears in the Address Book, per say, when looking up names. I AM prompted for a password but then nothing. Lack of W2000 Active Directory support sucks. patrick
