On 28 Sep 2002, it is alleged that sauntered in to netscape.public.mozilla.mail-news and loudly proclaimed:
> I tried to change the SMTP server and this fails. At first I saw that > the server was made blank, this was visible in the Advanced settings, > where there were 2 blank entries inserted on top. When I delete these > and I click the OK button the Mail&Newsgroup Account Settings window > won't go away. Canceling is possible but now sending mail fails with : > Unable to conect to SMTP server %s. > I am running : > Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.1) Gecko/20020826 You still need to set an SMTP server for the account. It might be easiest to set one SMTP server as default (under Edit | Mail & Newsgroups Account Settings | Outgoing Server (SMTP)) and then set the account always to use the default.
