Sure, without effect.
If that doesn't work then delete Inbox.msf (*only* the .msf file, *not* Inbox with no extension!!) in the Mail/<servername> in your profile directory. You must exit Moz completely, including the Quick Start icon in the System Tray, before doing this. When you restart Moz it will rebuild Inbox.msf.Done too, and I mixed the deletion of MSF with compacting, in vain.
In fact, the messages I deleted where back as soon as I re-opened Moz (1.1-Win2K serever SP3).
Then I created an old-inbox sub-folder and moved everything into it. Since, I do not have this behaviour in this sub folder and as I treat the incoming mails directly, it seems to be working yet.
SO the bug was: unable to delete messages from the Inbox, they went back as soon as possible. Only moving the messages corrected the thing, I hope more than temporarly.
Last detail the Inbox file war over 16 Mb large.
