Hi,
I found the optimized 0.6 build that Mike posted last week to be
much faster than the 0.9.2 release that is also optimized.
The difference is not small - at least 100% - 150% here. I am
currently trying to find out why. Performance should be much
better in 0.9.2 but I observe the opposite here.
I saw speed differences while
- opening a new window (Ctrl-N)
- loading a page
- scrolling in a page
- opening dialogs (preferences)
- moving other windows over Warpzilla (repaint)
- ...
Can anyone confirm this? Note, don't try with OS2WEB or the
original 0.6 - take the opt one from
ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla0.6/mozilla-i386-pcos2-vacpp-opt-0.6.zip
