Sorry for parallel reply (in second i reply about HPFS hosting drive
for Mozilla...
I just try to upgrade 0.9.3 Mozilla in my work - in standard way (e.g.
unzipping it over 0.9.2 instance)
On 2 machines (Laptop and desktop) in my work all went without
problems, so problem lays in my home machine.
Since my work machines incorporated home installation (I zip home
installation, and simply uznip it on work desktop and laptop - so
system is in exact same state - only difference is in: graphic chips
and CPUs.

Home:
Home grown (VIA MVP3), AMD K6-2, Winner2000PRO/AVI (VirgeGX)

Work:
Compaq Deskpro, Intel pIII, Ati Mach
Copmaq Armada, Intel pII, ATI rage Pro LT

On 3 instances I have SDD PRo b41 - so it is virtual the same graphic
driver.
But I have different CPU: in home machine (AMD K6-2), in work all are
Intels CPUs

So my suspicion is relation CPU type <-> code optiomization.

Maybe it gives You some hints in further instigations....

Take care
