I agree with you Mikus.  However, Mike's statement was based upon the 
assumption that the problem was not new with 0.9.3 but had existed in 
earlier versions as well.  Instead, I found that on my system, the 
problem occurs only with the 0.9.3 VAC++ and EMX versions but not with
0.9.2 VAC++ or 0.9.1 EMX.  

Mike later said that "If that is the case, we can certainly narrow 
down what caused it." Hopefully, if the problem does turn out to have 
been introduced in 0.9.3, it can be eliminated from future versions.
