Hi there! When I shut down mozilla, my system "locks" for very long periods of time... up to several minutes sometimes. Basically, my input queue appears to be hosed, and it can take a long period of time for the system to recover. I can hear intermittent disk activity during this time, and I can move the mouse but the clock doesn't update. I tried setting disk cache to zero, but that doesn't seem to have made much difference.
I'm actually using 0.9.5 2001101616. I admit it could be my system; I have an ancient P200MMX w/ 96 MB RAM... thank God for SCSI; it means that this system is still usable after all these years;). I'm wondering if there's some sort of setting I can change that might improve this situation. I don't know what it's doing during that several minutes that it's shutting down, but it sure is busy... -- ---------------------------------------------------------- * Jack Troughton jake at jakesplace.dhs.org * * http://jakesplace.dhs.org ftp://jakesplace.dhs.org * * Montral PQ Canada news://jakesplace.dhs.org * ----------------------------------------------------------
