No offense intended, but is that really the case? My understanding is
that:
1. Warpzilla doesn't work with anything but the new Java.
2. IBM has yet to bother to provide updated versions of the LVM
and TCP/IP Java-based interfaces, and hence one has to keep
around both versions of Java (and because of that IBM recommends
that the newer Java _not_ be made the default; I made that mistake
on the computer I moved to my current one from).
3. Java (both versions) count on having various environment
variables set in particular ways, so that at least one set of
Java applets can't be run directly, but instead have to have a
layer around them that finagles those environment variables to make
the version of Java the applet wants happy.
If I could go ahead and make the new Java the default, I could believe
that just copying the DLL is all that is needed.
If I am wrong, I'd greatly appreciate corrections.
