That would be a paliative, not a real solution. It would also bypass the mozilla settings for wheel actions (where you can for example assign ctrl+wheel to the zoom feature, and such, cf the mouse wheel page in the advanced section of the properties dialog). I think the best solution would be for IBM to add wheel/stick messages to PM, but I don't think we can count on it. The second best solution is for a leading application (and warpzilla is one such app imho) to declare a protocol. The third solution is for each "enhanced" mouse driver to define a way to interact with "major" applications. This third solution is what has been done so far, but it's quite problematic, and not really acceptable, I think.
