We always use OS/2 select now - that is the problem.

Anyone that has the hang has a broken OS/2 select. The new NSPR I am
giving out switches things back to BSD select.

I'm not sure what to do at this point. I can't decide between BSD and
OS/2 at runtime. OS/2 is more efficient, but BSD guarantees
compatibility.
