I deleted 2002040908 and reinstalled it. This time I did not perform as many customizations as I normally do. The result was that I no longer see the gratuituous addition of .txt to download file names. Don't have the time or the patience to try and see if I can get Mozilla back to adding the .txt

I can confirm that for 2002040908, with the two imgicon files there, it traps on a .zip download. WITHOUT the two imgicon files there, a .zip download does not have any problems. > > I'm not seeing the .txt issue. What type of file were you clicking on? I'm not seeing it either, after the re-install. When I *was* seeing it, it occurred on both .zip downloads and on .mid downloads. The consistency of adding .txt was such that I would have expected the .txt on other file types as well, had I tried to download them. mikus
