I received an email in Mozilla that displayed no content and no sign of
an attachment, but Mozilla was set to leave messages on server. So, I
opened Netscape and retrieved the same message. Netscape displayed
nothing until I changed to "view attachments as links". When I clicked
the link, a browser window opened, but it displayed nothing.
Back to Mozilla, I exited, went to the OS and copied Inbox to a new
name, then reopened Mozilla. Mozilla now displayed the new folder, and I
could find the message as before in Inbox, but still found no evidence
of message content. I deleted all but the message at issue and two
others from the new folder, then emptied the trash and compacted the
mail folders. Still Mozilla displayed no content in the message.
I went back to Netscape and did view source on the message. The first
part of that save I have attached. Obviously the attachment included a
binary. I suspect it to be a windoze virus or worm of some sort.
I searched through Bugzilla looking for something like this, but so far
have come up empty.
Questions:
1-Is the attachment a worm or virus?
2-Does Mozilla's failure to show the existence of an attachment
constitute a bug?
