I strongly suspected that was the case, since that's what .pif email
attachments from unknown senders usually are, but the primary reason for
including that question was as a foundation for the second question,
which no one thus far has attempted to answer.
Is Mozilla WAD, recognizing it as a probable virus and therefore
intentionally not displaying the attachment icon? What other types of
attachments is Mozilla not bothering to show the icon for? As long as
the icon is missing, there is no menu option to show the attachment as a
link or inline.
What I suspect is a bug related to the 30888 fix, but I don't know what
to search for besides "attachment", which by itself returns an
astounding number of bugs to sift through.
