The point is that the 'random-named' directory level is just an extra 
level. There is no apparent reason why the important sub-dirs should 
not sit directly under \default or \geoff.

The damn thing keeps producing this silly random name which makes 
dealing with it difficult, as well as 13 characters more to type, and 
I always seem to mis-type random names...
