BTW, the general information for settings at my ISP's website shows the 
same names I've used for email and newsgroups, and says the newsgroup 
server (NNTP) authentication type is "None"... which means my problems 
are apparently coming out of Mozilla, which keeps asking me for userid 
and password to post to newsgroups.
