Profile info is stored in registry.dat in the top directory of the profiles tree. Deleting it should cause its regeneration with the new location. IIRC the profile manager (run "mozilla -ProfileManager") also has a button that lets you specify another location; whether or not it can properly handle moving profiles I don't know. h~
