That seems to be exactly what's happening and the problem is made even
worse because of the way the -turbo mode's been broken. I ran a test by
opening a turbo session using a brand new profile. I then open a
windowed session and it appeared at the bottom of the screen. Then I
dragged that window into the middle of my screen and opened another
session which opened next to the first one. So far so good. In order to
confirm this, closed down Mozilla and opened a new turbo session and
once again the first window opened a the bottom of the screen.

Here's where it get's even worse. Because of the way the turbo
function's been broken, when you close down your last windowed session,
Mozilla's turbo goes through its controlled crash and reload sequence
and guess what - the next windowed session you open will be at the
bottom of the screen just like the very first one - regardless of where
the last window you closed had been located. Like you said, Mozilla
seems to be saving the position of the hidden turbo window whenever it
opens.
