For quite some time now I do nearly all my web and news browsing with Mozilla/2. I still use PMMail 2000 for e-mail - I have a too established filing system going with it to want to change, not that I want to do that.
All the bugs that were troubling to me before 1.1 have been ironed out and the thing is a smooth working tool! Thanks to Michael Kaply. I haven't been driven strongly enough to install any plugins. If I need to use some plug-in I just go to my Windoze machine and do it from there. Is that heresy? Most of those plugin stuff for me is a lot of flim flam. For nearly all my real interests Mozilla/2 does the job well. I do have Java 1.1.8? switched on and haven't felt any need to go to Java 1.3. I'm still on the 16 bit tcpip. I haven't felt any compelling need to move to SWC or eCS. The long loading time of Moz/2 is not an issue because once started I leave it on all the time. I use the virtual desktops of Object Desktop to get away from screen clutter. Since moving to an ATX mb I get quite good stability from my OS/2 (Warp 4 + FP15). My system will easily run for a month (the max length I happened to have observed so far) provided I observe certain restrictions which are: load Moz/2 before any other major application such as DeScribe; don't leave StarOffice 5.1 running when not in use. My mb has 256 MB on board.
