I hope not but it is something happens in the normal course of events 
and some folks do reload/load multiple volumes frequently enough for 
there to be consideration in this regard.

And do what with it?  Pick through it for all the config info that apps 
have added to it.

It is only harder on OS/2 if you don't live in that theoretical dream 
world.  I've written several apps for OS/2 over the years and I've never 
had to touch the config.sys or os2.ini with the exception of the case 
where one app needs to load a device driver.  Getting the info an app 
needs and storing changable info that an app needs is possible with 
alternate solutions.

Mike, I'm not trying to stir you up and I certainly appreciate the work 
you are doing.  I'm simply asking you to entertain the use of alternatives.
