The problem here is whether you think the application or platform is 
the most important.  If you are only using one platform, then you 
probably want the behaviour the same for all applications you are 
using. But, if you are swapping platforms, then it might be more 
important for the behaviour of the applications to be consistent 
across all the platforms.

For me: I'm using OS/2 and Win2000 on my laptop.  At work I use WinXP.
 Plus Win95 and Win98 on my kids and wife's PCs that I'm expected to 
fix (but told to keep away from otherwise).  It seems that I find the 
platform behaviour more important.  When I found how to change the 
menu behaviour in Mozilla, I put it into my OS/2 Mozilla profile and 
haven't taken it out since.  But, when I tried it in Mozilla on my 
work machine, it felt wrong.
