If you are only using one platform, then you probably want the behaviour the same for all applications you are using. But, if you are swapping platforms, then it might be more important for the behaviour of the applications to be consistent across all the platforms. For me: I'm using OS/2 and Win2000 on my laptop. At work I use WinXP. Plus Win95 and Win98 on my kids and wife's PCs that I'm expected to fix (but told to keep away from otherwise). It seems that I find the platform behaviour more important. When I found how to change the menu behaviour in Mozilla, I put it into my OS/2 Mozilla profile and haven't taken it out since. But, when I tried it in Mozilla on my work machine, it felt wrong. -- David Forrester davidfor at internode dot on dot net http://www.os2world.com/djfos2
