Folks, Netscape is gearing up to enter a stability phase surrounding
mozilla 0.9.1. We need to wring the unnecessary bugs out of the bug list
and end up with just the most important bugs remaining. We're asking
Netscape employees to use these criteria for keeping bugs on the 0.9.1
milestone.
1. crash, topcrash, hang and dataloss bugs
2. bugs called out specifically by the product teams who will build
releases based on mozilla 0.9.1
3. correctness bugs, biased towards bugs with the worst impact on the
largest number of users.
As usual, we would love help building test cases, fixing bugs, verifying
fixes, etc. from everyone who wants to make mozilla 0.9.1 a really solid
build.
To reiterate some dates:
- Fri 5/11 - Last day for Netscape employees to land big changes for 0.9.1
- Mon 5/14 - Netscape Product Delivery Team (PDT) begins bug triage as
necessary. Engineering managers should have your lists in good shape.
- Fri 5/18 - Last day for Netscape employees to check in fixes for
non-stopper bugs (please continue to fix bugs in priority order)
- Tue 5/22 - Tree freeze for mozilla 0.9.1
