That's exactly what I'd like to see happen.

Not to me. I experimented with a Mozilla-based client project a while 
back, but everything kept changing under my feet. I'm waiting for the 
major interfaces to be declared *permanently frozen* before I resume any 
work on it. New interfaces added later don't break my code. Changes to 
existing interfaces do.
