Given the resolution of similar "security vs. convenience" issues (salting
profile directories, for instance), this seems unlikely. Out of
curiousity, why are you using "file://" over a network? Opening "file://"
URLs over secure networks sounds somewhat more reasonable to me (but I'm
not mstolz).
