Well, yesterday I was getting an error related to a missing "glib" (gtk
for win32?).  I dinked around with that yesterday but had no luck with
it.  Today that problem appears to have been resolved.  I was able to
build the whole thing, but now it's refusing to load my components.  I'm
trying something else right now, and if that doesn't work, I'll try
again tomorrow on my laptop at work which is a much more sane machine (I
usually do my development on it, but didn't bother to bring it home today).

I'll get back to you with more information tomorrow at latest.
