If you have *anything* written down about xpinstall, e.g., how to write install scripts, how to build, how to test it, architecture, whatever it may be -- I'm very interested in seeing it. The e-mail alias to send your documentation/howto/FAQ snippets to (as a URL, or an attachment) is [EMAIL PROTECTED] (or [EMAIL PROTECTED] if that alias is unreachable for some reason). Please use "xpinstalldocs" somewhere in the subject so that I can filter appropriately. If it is on paper, and you are inside of netscape, then just place it on my desk in Mountain View. I'm actively taking notes as I learn new things about installer. I encourage you to pass new information along to me as you discover things too; I think the time is long past due that we document what we know, and maintain it, so that people joining the team (like me) have something to refer to, and so that people wanting to contribute code or testing from outside the Netscape firewall have a place to go to for information. I will be spending a portion of my time over the next few months creating content that is based upon the information that you provide me and what I learn as I work on bugs. My intent is to organize all of this information into a cohesive unit and make it available on mozilla.org. So, in a nutshell, if you have something written down about xpinstall, share it with me, so I can then share it with others. Going forward, as you do your daily work, take some time to consider if what you are doing contains information that may be useful to others, take a moment and write a paragraph or two about it, and send it off to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thanks, syd
