amon tobin rules. as do many other ninja tune-artists. i wouldnt consider
amon tobin as dnb artist though. he has done a lot of other (cool9 stuff
as well.

not an expert on drumnbass, have to confess, i quit buing dnb something
like three years ago, but there are some artists i think that fit into your
liking. tracks arent mentioned, cant just remember em no more..

older dj krust - v recordings

older roni size - v recordings

technical itch and stuff on his tech itch label

stuff on ram records

wild palms - ninja tune

stuff on protocool records

ed rush and optical

all this stuff is raw, but at least half of the stuff has - on my opinion -
too monotonic and not too interesting rhythm tracks. but the sound is rude
and harsh.

personally, i like the old stuff like early shy fx, t -power, dillinja,
grooverider and so on. most the stuff with reggae and ragga ingredients.

also, the jazzier side of dnb is worth checking out, stuff like
kudos, e-z rollers and of that like.

and well, i aint too keen on that melodic (intelligent - that is?) stuff
like bukem or pfm either. peshays stuff is way cool though. i think his
"vocal tune" is the best drumnbass track ever - with istaris Upay4, of
course. anyone sampling crass cant be wrong. how bout conflict or g.b.h
then?
