Brings me in mind the old skool Detroit stuff. The sound
originated in many cases of use of Rolands S550 sampler.
It is 12-bit device, with only something like 2 megs of
memory. To conserve memory most samples were taken in
lower than 44khz rate. Thus still today in house tracks
hi-hats in drum loops are not supposed to have high pitch,
but sound "filtered".
