Just tested Cool Edit 2000's noise reduction. It kicks ass! I had some
material with audible hiss. Loaded a sample piece of the hiss to the noise
reducer and then to the whole file. Incredible! The hiss just vanished!
The drawback is, that silent moments of the file got a little
MP3-encoding-like murmur. But for web usage Cool Edit's noise reduction is
just perfect.
Are there any similar VST/DirectX/LADSPA plugins available?
