It isn't supported by default, but it is trivial to make mp3make
support it. (I just have a link named 8hz-mp3 that points to lame,
and that's all I needed to do.) I'm not sure about the GTK version of
mp3make however, as I've not used it. So it isn't so much that it
"supports" lame, as that it co-operates happily with lame.
