I've recently gotten patches for running LAME on Mac, BeOS and Amiga. One thing they all have in common: they dont like large variables on the stack. For the Amiga you can at least set this, but for Mac and BeOS, it seems the compiler doesn't allow more than 32K to be placed on the stack. This seems bizarre! Especially for a modern operating system like BeOS. Anyone know what the story is? Mark -- MP3 ENCODER mailing list ( http://geek.rcc.se/mp3encoder/ )
