The ripper I'm using now, Easy CD-DA Extractor from Poikosoft
(www.poikosoft.com) allows you to set the external program and commandline
parameters to anything you want. For LAME, I use "-b 256 -S %i %o", where
%i and %o are substituted for the input and output filename. The filename
extension for the output file is set in a separate field.
Easy CD-DA Extractor has some other great features, including automatically
setting the filename and ID3 tags from CDDB. I'm definitely paying the $30
shareware for it.
