I dont think anyone really knows. There was a web page discussed
here a week or so ago - they were going to start testing the VBR
encoders. But there testing methods seemed a little dubious.
My own testing is all done at fixed 128kbs, LAME vs
Fraunhofer. This alone is already a too much work!
