I have just encoded a 24 kbps / 22khz file of my own using lame 3.35, and it sounds
much better than yours did.
What options were you using? Have you tried playing the wave file to make sure that
its
not corrupted?
Anyone - is 22 khz / 24kbps the best bet for small files? Is there a different
cobination of
sampling and bitrate that will give better sound quality?
