MPEG Plus is some kind of advanced MPEG Layer II Encoder without compatibility
to the mpeg standard.
It seems to include a few interesting features:
finer resolution of scalefactors
DSCF - Differential Scalefactor
ANS - Adaptive Noise Shaping
CVD - Clear Voice Detection
dynamic calculation of the SNR instead using tables
self messured psychoaccustics (oh oh ...don't know if that's a plus)
post-masking with variable timeconstansts between different frames
The problem is that it is some kind of propretary standard ...
