to clear up misinformation from my last message, i test lame384alpha
with this compilers:
msvc6.0: lame crashes after 200 frames during vbr encoding
intel compiler 4.5: about 10% faster. vbr encoding works fine, but
winnt & win2000 say: lame 'is not a valid win32
application', 'Access is denied'
djgpp both cbr & vbr works on win2000 & win98. much
slower than msvc or ic
